There comes a time when one reaches one’s limits. I have reached my inspirational limits for this blog. What was intended to become a reflection of my travels around the world with stories of working in different cultures on different projects to reflect the life of a PPP nomad has become a weekly update of adapting to the working from home environment following the Corona virus. Well received fortunately seeing the large number of views of these blogs though no longer serving its original purpose and frankly speaking also become somewhat repetitive. As said earlier, flattening the curve so desperately needed to manage the virus has also flattened life.
I have therefor decided to take a break from presenting these blogs. Work will luckily continu the coming months with relevant and interesting engagements in Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Nigeria and Kenya which should keep me busy till the end of this year though the nature of the activities will be primarily drafting reports like PPP guidelines and templates or feasibility studies for possible PPP projects and discussing them through video conferences. I have another training scheduled for September. Hopefully we will be able to deliver that one face to face. As much as I enjoyed designing and delivering an online training it doesn’t have the same level of interactions that makes training so much fun.
As Vera Lynn said and as already often quoted these days, we’ll meet again, don’t know where, don’t know when. I will continue to be active on social media obviously when I have something interesting to share though for now the focus will be on making the best out of the current situation. The good news is that the world is beginning to exit the lockdown though obviously we don’t know when and if we will have our normal life back again and for me personally how it will impact the life of a PPP nomad. I will let you know when I know.
Stay Strong
